Rodney T. Smith, Ph.D.
Rodney Smith is senior Vice President of
Stratecon Inc, an economics and strategic planning consulting firm
specializing in the economics, finance, law, and politics of water resources;
managing member of Strategic Water Management LLC, manager of private
investment entities for water resources; President of Baja Norte Water
Resources, LLC, a project developer of bi-national water projects; and
managing partner of California Water Resource Management & Preservation LP,
helping a Northern California water supplier manage, maximize, and preserve
their water resources.
Dr. Smith is also
involved as an advisor in the acquisition of water rights throughout the western
United States and in the sale and leasing of water rights and water supplies to
public and private sector water users.
Lisa Hahn
Lisa Hahn, President of Stratecon,
Inc., manages the firm’s consulting activities and conducts in-depth research on
behalf of the firm’s clients.
Ms. Hahn’s consulting experience is in strategic planning
and marketing. She combines her marketing and management skills with experience
in design and product management of service based products. As a consultant, she
has conducted marketing research, developed strategic plans and pricing
strategies, and developed investor information packages for numerous new
businesses. Her expertise in communications is utilized in the professional
presentation and communication packages that are crucial for successful client
relationships.
Marta Weismann
Marta
Weismann, Senior Researcher for Stratecon, Inc., works closely with Dr.
Smith and Ms. Hahn performing comprehensive research in support of the work of
both Stratecon, Inc. and Strategic Water Management, LLC. She also works heavily
on the Water Strategist
Community helping to select the content posted the website.
Ms. Weismann joined the firm in 2000 as a
researcher for Water Strategist, which
was published through 2010, initially focusing on providing water market
information for the “Transactions Update.”
Other Staff and Consultants
Stratecon research staff hold Master’s degrees in public policy, political science or other related
fields. Stratecon, Inc. also has
consultants in the areas of water law, water resources planning, hydrology, agricultural
economics, and computer science. These
consultants work on Stratecon, Inc. projects as needed.
